Winter Reads

With Winter finally coming to an end (in 42 days, that is) I wanted to share a few of the books that I would like to read, or reread before the season ends. #cozydays
Below I have listed Five of those books that either have a Winter setting, or remind me of winter!!
Firstly, I love a good mystery! Especially in the winter season!
One of my favorite Mystery/Thriller Authors is Agatha Christie. Her books are perfect to read on a cold winter night with a cup of Hot Cocoa. #thriller
The Next Christie Novel on my TBR is Elephants Can Remember, My all time favorite is And Then There Were None..
The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman is a Whimsical Adventure story about a girl named Lyra who goes on a quest through The North to the Arctic. #rescuemission
I’ve had this book on my TBR for awhile now and hopefully this is the year I finally read it!!
Next I have The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.
This book is set in the Winter of 1940. In addition to the snowy setting inside the Wardrobe, there are also the lovely descriptions of tea with Mr Tummus, Hot Chocolate and Turkish Delight… #adventure
(BTW I have tried Turkish Delight and although it is good, its not sell your family to the white witch good…)
Growing up, Little Women was my favorite classic. I read my first copy over and over until it fell apart.
It’s still one of my Favorite reads. I love all of the characters, especially Jo! #nostalgia
Finally I have The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls. In this book Laura lives in De Smet Dakota. Trapped by blizzard after blizzard, snow almost covering their home, all trading stopped. Their supplies were running low, no one could get in and no one could get out. The Ingalls family face tough decisions! #suspense
Well That is all for my Winter Reads! If you have any questions or any suggestions for my Winter TBR! I’d love to hear them! IG: @its.between.the.pages FB: Between The Pages or follow the links below. thanks for reading!!
